Setup — pick an AI in five minutes

If you don't already use one, Claude is the simplest path. The free tier handles real Belgian admin work: it reads documents you upload and can produce filled application packets you download (PDF, Word, Excel).

  1. 1. Sign up at claude.ai — Google, Apple, or email login. About a minute.
  2. 2. Come back to becivic.be and copy the prompt from the homepage.
  3. 3. Paste it into Claude. It reads the right Be Civic skill, asks about your situation, and walks you through.

Want the full experience?

Claude Pro with Cowork ($20 / month, plus VAT) lets your AI save drafts to your computer and read documents from a folder, without any setup. Recommended once you're comfortable with the basics.

Other options that work, free:

ChatGPT, Gemini, and Le Chat. Le Chat is the EU-based option if data residency matters.
